Colouring, Drew Barrymore and Session Stylists

Colouring Hair Extensions
So, you ordered some hair extensions and they aren’t quite your colour?
No worries, either send them back or if they still don’t have your perfect colour then do it yourself!
You will need:
-Hair extensions
-A colouring brush
-Aluminium foil
-Your chosen hair colour
It can be scary but go into a pharmacy and simply match up the ENDS of your hair to a colour on a box. It is very important that you match the tips of your hair as they are usually lighter than the rest of your hair and this is the colour that will be blending in with your extensions.    Most hair extensions use about one and a half bottles of dye so get two!
What to do:
- Lay out a piece of your aluminium foil just a bit longer than your hair extensions piece.
-Mix the hair dye in a bowl rather than shaking it up in the applicator bottle
-Take your first piece and lay it on the foil
-Start applying the hair colour with your colouring brush in downwards strokes
-Turn your extensions over and make sure the other side is also covered
-Fold the foil in half and put to the side and carry on to the next one!

What is she hairing?!
Drew Barrymore and her stunning new shade of copper
I have been seeing this everywhere and was amazed at how nicely the colour complimented Drew’s flawless complexion.

Copper colours suit most skin tones and it’s the perfect compliment to a summer tan without dying your hair too dark or too brave.
To create this look, give yourself a centre parting. If this doesn’t suit your face shape then a side parting works this look just as well.
There are a few ways to create this look.
-If your hair is wet and naturally wavy then just comb it so it doesn’t dry messy and let it dry naturally!
-Plait your hair, wait for it to dry and if it’s too wavy just quickly sweep your straighteners over the waves to flatten them a bit.
-Sea salt water is also well known for creating sexy beach waves.
The Glamour

So this week Nikki, the marketing director and I went to visit a hairdresser’s called Dionne Smith to choose who we want to be our stylist for the photo shoot in two weeks time.
We wanted Dionne Smith herself to do the hair as she has styled for London Fashion Week, Hair magazine and many other big publications but as she is away she recommended one of her junior stylists. Hoping we can be as confident in her as Dionne is!
