Pastel hair, Blake Lively & The Photo Shoot

Pastel Hair Highlights

This is no new trend but it is well known in Hoxton, London for being the coolest colour of the moment. This look can be created easily with extensions. It's best to buy two-clip extensions already coloured or buy them blonde and colour it yourself. To do this...look at an earlier post on how to colour hair extensions.  Most people have the impression that only blondes can pull off this look but the below photos prove that it looks just as daring and cool on brunettes.

What Is She Hairing?!

Blake Lively is well known for her wavy locks on 'Gossip Girl' and creating this look is actually very easy.

•To get waves like Blake, work mousse through damp hair and blow dry with a diffuser attachment while scrunching to bring out your hair’s natural wave!
•  If you have hair extensions then clip them in now (Blake does actually wear hair extensions too!)
• Next, take a 1.25 or 1.5 inch barrel curling iron and curl your hair in sections, starting with the bottom layers and working your way up your head. Don’t worry about getting it perfect because that's part of the look.
• If you want to get the complete look then do a few small, random plaits and hide the tips under the rest of your hair with a hair pin.

•Finish your hair with light hold hairspray, tousle and go.

The Glamour

So sunday was the day of our photo shoot and we ended up having five models. First we all arrived and some of the girls went in to hair and make up.  When the first girl was done she started shooting with our photographer, a well known fashion/ beauty photographer called Agata Preyss. After everyone had their hair and make up I got a chance to have mine done too which was fun, I had curly hair and a very smokey eye look. Most of the girls were wearing beautiful clothes from top designers, perfect hair and beautiful make up so, all in all the day went perfectly.  Look out for the photos soon!
